Background, professional training and performance history
Jeralee holds a Specialized Associate degree in Piano Pedagogy from BYU-Idaho and a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from the University of Oregon School of Music where she was a three time recipient of the Ruth Lorraine Close Award for advanced study of the harp. She has been playing the piano for 26 years and the harp for 17 years. Apart from teaching, Jeralee is also a freelance harpist and plays for various functions throughout the greater Eugene/Springfield area. She is also an active member of the American Harp Society.
Artist statement and teaching philosophy
"My teaching philosophy is to encourage and promote playing the harp with correct technique and in the most relaxed manner possible to avoid injury, while focusing on each student’s strengths and weaknesses."

Jeralee teaches lever and pedal harp as well as a variety of musical genres from classical to Celtic to popular jazz tunes.
