Shirley Andress takes on Ella's 2nd Songbook project with an evening of some of the best of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. Produced in 1956 with early Verve arranger Buddy Bregman, the two-disc album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999, with her 1956 Porter Songbook (also with Bergman) being inducted the following year. Shirley has selected a fine subset of the 35 songs on that recording.
