Ryan Adams hasn't toured in the U.S. since 2009. But his new solo album Fire & Ashes arrives October 11 in North America via Pax-Am/Capitol. On that day, he hits the road on the West Coast for a short 8-venue solo acoustic tour, stopping at The Shedd October 20th.

Adams is a multiple-Grammy-nominated singer songwriter from Jacksonville, NC whose critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums both as a solo artist and with the Cardinals have included Heartbreaker (2000), Gold (2001), Love Is Hell (2004), Cold Roses (2005) and Easy Tiger (2007) which TIME magazine hailed as "a career breakthrough." Adams is also the CEO of his own PAX-AM label through which he has released numerous singles and last year's Cardinals III/IV double album, among others. Adams is also an accomplished author, with two Akashic books to his credit, Infinity Blues and Hello Sunshine. He recently completed a sold out tour of the UK and Europe and returned to Los Angeles where he has been putting finishing touches on his new record with producer Glyn Johns and featuring contributions from the likes of Norah Jones and Benmont Tench.
