Those who attended The Shedd's 2004 presentation of Dave Brubeck at The Hult Center know he's "still got it" in spades. Don't miss another great evening, this time with the nonpareil Ramsey Lewis.
A seminal force in the development of West Coast Jazz in the late '50s with hits like "Take Five" and "Blue Rondo à la Turk" Dave Brubeck's distinctive harmonic approach and daring improvisations have thrilled critics and fans throughout his career. Ramsey Lewis has ranked among the world's great jazz pianists for more than 40 years, regularly topping the charts with classics like "The In Crowd" and "Wade in the Water." A multiple Grammy winner, Lewis' performance style and musical selections display his early Gospel and classical training along with his love of a multitude of other musical forms.
The Shedd Institute is pleased to present both world-renowned pianists on one inspiring and captivating show at the Hult Center's Silva Concert Hall.
