Artist statement and teaching philosophy
“My teaching style helps students gain the desire and ability to improve at their instrument. I am particularly good at getting students involved in making music. I am a firm believer in music as a means of educational enrichment; music can create a strong basis for growth and development in other areas too. As a teacher, I encourage my students to view music as it relates to all aspects of life, and appreciate how music and culture are entwined. I look forward to sharing my love for vihuela, guitarron, and guitar and welcome students of all skill levels, ages 8 and up.”
