Artist statement and teaching philosophy
I believe in giving each student the tools to discover a growing self-awareness and the courage to increase their comfort zones through the performing arts. I do this in two ways: First, by building trust with each individual student. This is done through positive reinforcement for solid effort and execution of any material given. Second, by continuing to facilitate my own personal growth through education and performance. My ability to share my own on-stage experiences gives students self-confidence in a way that acts as a springboard, not a crutch. I encourage students to broadly apply what they have learned in my classes to all of life’s situations because "All the World's a Stage".
