Artist statement and teaching philosophy
“My teaching style is relaxed and consistently encouraging, and I am particularly good at recognizing each student’s abilities. I believe that music is a language of emotion that can be understood and performed by anyone. As a teacher, I encourage my students to listen to music and choose songs that they would like to learn. I then arrange the songs to their current level of playing. I enjoy seeing my students become emotionally involved in the music they have chosen. I welcome students of all ages and abilities from beginners to advanced musicians.”
