“Kottke’s singular style remains vital and influential to everyone who picks up an acoustic guitar.” — All Music
Guitar legend Leo Kottke, who makes his first stop at The Shedd, is flat-out one of the most important and influential acoustic steel-string fingerstyle guitarists of the 20th century. Known for his compelling original compositions and arrangements of cover songs as well as his fingerpicking style and polyphonic melodies, he has inspired countless musicians over the decades. Kottke is still full of surprises after all these years. His shows are displays of captivating mastery of a sort that’s rare in any genre of music.
