Madeleine Peyroux returns to The Shedd Institute Thursday October 7th on her world tour in support of the deluxe reissue of Careless Love, her best-selling 2004 album. A rich collection of cover versions of tunes from music greats including Bob Dylan and James P Johnson as well as her milestone rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Dance Me to the End of Love” and her signature tune “Don’t Wait Too Long”, the album shifted Peyroux from the exclusive Jazz realm into the mainstream arena and it remains her most popular release. The deluxe edition includes a full, previously unreleased 2005 live set, recorded by Basque Public Radio for the Festival de Jazz de Vitoria-Gasteiz in Spain. For this tour, which takes her throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, and South America, Peyroux performs the entire original album, plus additional bonus songs.
