"Bruce Molsky is one of those great players who ‘get it’: has all the links to the past but is happy not to be chained to it." –Mark Knopfler
"Playing with my old pal Darol Anger is like musically coming home and taking a trip to Mars at the same time, and doesn’t happen often enough."” – Bruce Molsky
Bruce Molsky and Darol Anger, both longstanding Shedd guests, return to Jaqua Concert Hall on tour in support of their new project, Lockdown Breakdown (2024). Darol and Bruce have been musical explorers together for years, sharing a creative universe that’s resulted in some epic collaborations, including the Grammy-nominated Fiddlers Four (with Michael Doucet and Rushad Eggleston), crashing each other’s concerts and recordings, and just finding big joy in playing together. Freestyle fiddler, composer, producer and educator Darol Anger is at home in a number of musical genres, some of which he helped to invent. Described as “an absolute master” (No Depression), Bruce’s take on tradition has landed him in collaborations with some of the world’s most highly respected players from roots to rock.
