Summer’s the time for a musical road trip with songs about journeys and travelling. We’ll sing our way through a journey on all kinds of vehicles including boats, bikes, cars, trains and airplanes with songs like "Bicycle Built for Two”, Chattanooga Choo Choo”, and “Erie Canal” will help us along our journey. We’ll learn to play rhythms, explore musical instruments, and perform an end-of-camp show around the theme of travel in music! Students can share the art they’ve made and the songs they’ve learned during a final day performance!
Land, Air & Sea! is the 2nd of 4 summer camps offer by The Shedd Institute as a part of its 2017
Summer SongFest program for kids.

Each morning begins with a “warm up”, followed by learning the songs for the week’s theme. They will then get to learn about and play an instrument that has to do with the week’s theme. After a snack the campers will either get a chance to make their very own instrument or get dance instruction based on the theme. The campers end the day with a song circle to prepare them for their performance on Friday:
