Animals are the topic for the week! Animals of all shapes and sizes; wild animals, tamed animals, stuffed animals, make-believe animals! We'll learn songs like “Bought Me a Cat”, “Old Dog Blue”, “Crocodile Rock” and “Kookaburra”?! Campers will get to know the animals that appear in these songs as well as create an animal themed craft to use during their camp end performance.
Menagerie Madness is the 3rd of 4 summer camps offer by The Shedd Institute as a part of its 2017
Summer SongFest program for kids.

Each morning begins with a “warm up”, followed by learning the songs for the week’s theme. They will then get to learn about and play an instrument that has to do with the week’s theme. After a snack the campers will either get a chance to make their very own instrument or get dance instruction based on the theme. The campers end the day with a song circle to prepare them for their performance on Friday:
