The Shedd Singers is a non-auditioned chorus for boys and girls in grades 4-8. Singers develop a healthy, heartfelt and beautiful vocal sound…all while learning music through the eyes and the ears: that is, understanding music notation and language as well as “singing by ear.” The Shedd Singers learn a broad range of music from classical and foreign-language compositions, to rounds and folk songs, and to modern popular artists (including Regina Spektor, Annie Lennox, U2, Coldplay, Adele among others).
The group will have one or two performances per term and may collaborate with other Shedd students and faculty. No audition is required – only the desire to sing!
