String Band is open to teens and young adults who play guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, autoharp, and fiddle! In this class, you will sharpen your skills in playing with others and learn about playing your instrument in the context of a community group. Everyone will learn about playing other stringed instruments in addition to your main one while learning songs such as “St. Louis Blues”, “Jambalaya”, “Old Jaw Bone”, “St. James Infirmary”, “Orange Blossom Special”, and more!. Get together with other players to learn how to improvise, play fills and play back-up in The Shedd’s String Band!
