Lisa McWhorter, violin, is the Assistant Concertmaster of the Eugene Symphony, plays with OrchestraNext, the Oregon Bach Festival and teaches private violin lessons in Eugene. Principal teachers include Susan Kempter, Leonard Felberg, Bernard Zinck and Paul Kantor. Lisa studied Violin Performance at the University of Michigan and the University of New Mexico, and has enjoyed summers at Chautauqua, Tanglewood and Aspen Music Festivals. Before living in Eugene, Lisa was a member of the New Mexico Symphony, Baton Rouge Symphony, played with the New Orleans Symphony, Santa Fe Pro Musica, toured Europe with the American Sinfonietta, and has worked as a freelance musician in New York City.
