Acoustic guitarist and two-time Grammy Award nominee Leo Kottke returns to Jaqua Concert Hall Wednesday July 19th. Kottke was born in Athens, Georgia, but left town after a year and a half. Raised in 12 different states, he absorbed a variety of musical influences as a child, flirting with both violin and trombone, before abandoning Stravinsky for the guitar at age 11. Well known among aficionados of fine guitar playing, Kottke's concerts are a mix of his guitar compositions and humorous stories from his experiences in the music business.
