Artist statement and teaching philosophy
“My teaching style encourages flexibility in the midst of structure. I am a firm believer in teaching to a student’s strengths and interests, and that music should present both a challenge and be enjoyable. As a teacher, I encourage my students to let their musical interests direct their focus while introducing and exposing them to other facets of music to explore. I look forward to sharing my love for percussion and welcome students of all ages and abilities."
