Artist statement and teaching philosophy
"As a teacher, my goal is that each one of his students gradually learn to be capable of achieving their own musical goals as an independent thoughtful musician. There are many factors to developing an independent musician, including critical listening skills, technique, musical finesse, developing repertoire, all of which students vary in natural proclivity but for many students the skill of practicing efficiently is often the most elusive. My primary responsibility to students is to expose them to of various methods of efficient practice so they can expand their understanding of music and achieve their musical endeavors."
