In an effort to further the reach of powerful female a cappella in America - and around the world - WACA has founded what will become an annual festival dedicated to fostering the creativity and unique spirit of women in the a cappella community. Join us to find out how you can join in the upward trend of "pitch-perfect" all-female a cappella!
SheSings 2014 features 2 showcase Concerts on Friday and Saturday night, hosted respectively by 2 phenomenal professional all-woman a cappella groups, The Riveters and Honey Whiskey. Each evening will showcase some of the best high school, collegiate, semi-professional and professional all-female groups in the country -- including U of O's very own, award-winning collegiate group Divisi (the real inspiration for the new hit film Pitch Perfect).
For more information, participation applications, and breaking news, visit the WACA website at SheSings 2014
Friday afternoon and all day Saturday, attendees can attend educational workshops that focus on cultivating leadership skills, developing the rhythm section (bass and VP) of an all-female group, arranging, stage presence, and more! WACA believes in the power of the female voice and spirit.
We seek to encourage musical integrity and creativity in women throughout the a cappella community. We aim to educate and inspire, and to create a forum of open discussion, mutual respect and unwavering support for current and future women in a cappella. SheSings 2014 will give us the opportunity to work toward all of these aims together, in a positive, nurturing and inspiring environment. Join us!
