Have you ever banged on pots and pans? Are you constantly tapping on everything? Do you love the sound of drums?! Then you just might have a case of rhythmitis, and we have the cure. Gain a solid foundation in drum performance and musicianship with Beginning Drums. This course will explore the 4 rudiment families which include: rolls, diddles, flams, and drags. Students will learn stick control, three different drumstick grips for alternate playing styles, and extended techniques. Explore different world rhythms, accent patterns, and learn to read musical notation while playing along to some of your favorite songs.
