For their 2020-21 season, the Emerald City Jazz Kings present another great year of historic jazz and popular music. They start off the season with Diga Diga Doo, a tribute to legendary Classic Songbook lyricist Dorothy Fields. In December our Jazz Kings Christmas welcomes Shirley Andress back at the helfor All Is Bright. In February long-time Jazz Kings trobonist Glenn Griffith takes his first turn on the podium with I'm Glad There Is You, an exploration of two phenomenal vocal stylists, Johnny Hartman and Lena Horne. And in May Shirley and company close out the season with a celebration of the career of Doris Day, What Will Be Will Be. Please join us!

The Emerald City Jazz Kings is the resident jazz & classic American Songbook ensemble of The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts. The Jazz Kings produce 4 original concerts each year on various themes pertinent to the historic popular music and jazz of the 1920s through ‘50s, with performances in Eugene, Roseburg and Corvallis.
