Julie Alsin returns often from her Washington home to join The Shedd Institute’s Emerald City Jazz Kings and Oregon Festival of American Music. Originally from San Jose, she is a graduate of Cal State Hayward with a BA in Education. She has sung with Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians, and has performed many roles with the Summer Musical Theater in the Bay Area. Julie has also worked as a studio singer for Maranatha! Records. Julie has been a regular with the Jazz Kings for the past ten years. She currently resides in Olympia with her husband and three children, but enjoys returning to Eugene for shows whenever she can. Julie presently works as the Musical Director at Hope Community Church in Olympia as well as giving voice lessons in her spare time.
