Will and Peter Anderson pay tribute to one of the giants of the Classic Songbook. Composer and pianist Jimmy Van Heusen (1913-90) wrote over 1,000 songs for film, television and theatre, 50 of which became jazz standards, 4 of which won Academy Awards for Best Original Song and 1 won an Emmy. Featured tonight: “Darn That Dream”, “Polka Dots And Moonbeams”, “It Could Happen To You”, “I Thought About You”, “Aren’t You Glad You’re You”, “My Kind Of Town”, The Tender Trap” and four which won the Academy Award: “All The Way”, “High Hopes”, “Call Me Irresponsible” and “Swinging On A Star”.
