The very name conjures an image of the sophistication and elegance of American and European high society in the 1920s and 30s. The incomparable songs of Cole Porter (1891-1964) include some of the most finely crafted, most beloved entries in the Great American Songbook–"It’s De-Lovely", "You're The Top", "I’ve Got You Under My Skin", "Let’s Fall In Love", "Night And Day" and many more from a host of exquisite stage and film musicals that includes Anything Goes, Kiss Me Kate, Can-Can, and High Society.
For this evening's concert, Jesse Cloninger and company offer up the best of the best of the man with the silver pen and the unerring sense of the bon mot and haunting melodic line.
