The indefatigable Frank Loesser (1910-69) gave America 2 of its best musicals, the Tony Award-winning Guys And Dolls (1950) and the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (1962) as well as a host of music and/or lyrics to some to best-loved songs of the Classic Songbook period, including "Baby It's Cold Outside", "Heart And Soul", "Once In Love With Amy", "On A Slow Boat To China", "Two Sleepy People", and "I Don't Want To Walk Without You". Festival executive producer Jim Ralph discusses Loesser's life and work, which included not only a long list contribution of Hollywood "B" movies but full scores to a number of other excellent musicals: Charley's Aunt (1948), the film Hans Christian Andersen (1952), The Most Happy Fella (1956), and Greenwillow (1960).
