"fodder" for jazz musicians than any period before or since. Chuck Redd continues his exploration of this relationship between jazz and popular standards with a choice selection of his favorites from the 1930s, first presented as these songs originally appeared in their pop setting (on the stage, in film, on radio and record) then as they came to be performed by jazz musicians.
