We revisit Edith Piaf and colleagues this summer, by way of French and Allied resistance movement during the Occupation. These are the songs that played an active political role, performed not only Piaf, but Charles Trenet , Marlene Dietrich, Maurice Chevalier, and many others. Still it was Piaf alone who, by the war’s end, became the voice of France. In this program, Boum, Siri Vik and company tell that story.
